2012 Section Conference to be aboard the Carnival Fantasy!
Please join us for a time of learning, networking, fun and relaxation. The 41st Annual NC Section Conference will be held April 18-23, 2012. We will set off from Charleston, SC for a five day Bahama cruise; including CE offerings, two port of calls in Freeport and Nassau, and two days at sea. There are options on rooms and you can bring your family and friends with you! Rooms are $475 (interior) or $515 (oceanview)dollars per person with the 3rd and 4th guests in a room just $325 per person! Please note that these prices include port charges and taxes. Initial $100 deposits are due 6/30/11, another $100 by 12/1/11 and the final balance by 2/15/12. We are planning a great program, so mark your calendars and come join us! Remember that registration for the conference will be through AWHONN (watch for this info on the web site, the fee will remain at $80)and the trip is handled separately through the travel agent. NC Section Conference a GREAT success
Thanks to all who attended the NC Section Conference on April 1, 2011! We had a great time and enjoyed lively discussion, great presentations, and seeing each other again. All attendees found out which of the Beatles we were most like, ate some wonderful fajitas and visited with many vendors. Many thanks to the folks at Forsyth Medical Center for hosting the conference-what a great conference center facility! Thanks also to Northwest AHEC for their support and to all those who had a hand in making this conference a great success. Next year we will climb aboard the Fantasy from Carnival Cruise Lines for a time of learning and fun. Please plan to join us! |

Marie Marks chosen as Outstanding Section Leader!
NC Section Leader Marie Marks received the AWHONN 2011 Outstanding Section Leader Award at the recent AWHONN National Convention in Denver, Colorado! Marie has demonstrated outstanding support and leadership for the section and we could not be more proud of her. This is a well deserved award and it could not happen to a nicer nurse! We thank Marie for all her hard work and giving spirit. The AWHONN NC Section is a great section! Many congratulations to Marie from all of us! |
